Questions about this category
What kind of material is ROLF?
ROLF is a plush, sheepskin-style (bouclé) fabric with a three-dimensional, fluffy texture, made of 100% polyester (560 g/m²). Its dense, soft surface gives furniture a cosy character.
What does 100% PES mean?
100% PES means that a product, such as a fabric, garment or piece of furniture, is made entirely of polyester. It is a synthetic material known for its high durability, abrasion resistance and quick drying.
Can sofa upholstery be dry-cleaned?
Dry-cleaning a sofa is an effective way to refresh the upholstery and remove light dirt and unpleasant odours without soaking the fabric. At home, bicarbonate of soda, potato starch or talc work best: they absorb dirt and grease and then simply need to be vacuumed up.
Is Rolf fabric pleasant to the touch?
Yes, Rolf fabric has a dense, soft and fluffy surface, so it works well on upholstered furniture used every day – at Pillovely, for example, on the Tedi armchair.
Is Rolf material durable?
Rolf has an abrasion resistance of at least 30,000 Martindale cycles, which is sufficient for standard domestic use. It stands out for very high light fastness (7) and pilling resistance (5), so it keeps its colour and texture well.
Is Rolf fabric suitable for modern interiors?
Yes, Rolf material is often chosen for modern and minimalist interiors. Its versatile texture and understated look blend easily with a variety of interior styles.
How do I clean Rolf fabric?
Rolf fabric is best vacuumed regularly with a soft brush attachment to remove dust from its fluffy texture. Blot stains straight away and remove more stubborn marks with a cloth dampened with a mild soap solution, without rubbing hard.
Is Rolf fabric resistant to pilling?
Yes, Rolf has a pilling rating of 5, the highest on the scale. This means a very low tendency to pill with proper use and care.
