Forum Designu is the first project in Poland to combine three core functions: promoting designers, a permanent exhibition [showroom], and retail sales.
It is not just an ordinary showroom, but also a hub for events promoting Polish design. A creative space where there is always something going on. We are committed to promoting Polish creators. By gathering many designers in one place, we reach a wide range of customers. We realized there was a need for a space where designers could present their projects, and customers could "touch" items they had seen, for instance, online. Not everyone can afford their own gallery, so our designers treat this space as their own showroom.
We invite only carefully selected brands to collaborate with us – we have created a unique place where you can find new furniture forms, unique interior accessories, eco-design, a range of inspirations, and an architect's zone. Our idea is a non-profit project. All costs related to rent, staff, and showroom maintenance are covered collectively. We are dedicated to promoting innovative design in Poland because we believe it is worth investing in Polish capital and the potential of local shops, instead of trademarks and mass-market brands. Together, we create a "city within a city," a creative space for passionate people and an event hub. Our main goal is to leverage the potential of this space and promote design in Poland.
Forum Designu is a project that consolidates various entities related to design. Building on the highly successful Forum Mody platform, we have created a similar space dedicated to applied arts. We invite you to visit our Facebook page, our website, and the Forum Designu online store - www.forumdesignu.pl - to learn more about our venue and our recent activities, including our very successful anniversary, monthly exhibitions and meetings with architects (most recently with Tomasz Rygalik), design fairs, workshops and conferences, fashion shows, and other events.
In Krakow, thanks to the support of the National Museum and the Department of Culture and National Heritage, we have created an inspiring and spacious venue for all kinds of creative activities, welcoming to artists and enthusiasts interested in culture, design, and architecture. This is where creativity meets business and science. In Warsaw, we opened a branch of Forum Designu on April 1st, 2020.
We want these spaces to set new directions in culture, design, and entertainment. They have already become a kind of showcase for the cultural scenes in Krakow and Warsaw. The initiative to bring the Hotel Cracovia to life through the National Museum and to create a Museum of Design and Architecture, in which Forum Designu participates, is becoming an open arena for social and artistic activities. By unleashing an urban zone of collective creativity, we increase the joy of taking action and the possibilities for small entities to function effectively alongside large ones. The venue acts as a bridge connecting a traditional showroom with the concept of direct engagement with the creator and the idea of design.
You can find the current brands and entities participating in the project on our fanpage - https://www.facebook.com/forumdesignu - or in our store - www.forumdesignu.pl.
