The Martindale test shows how a fabric copes with abrasion during use. A higher number of cycles means a more durable material. A result of 40,000-50,000 cycles indicates high resistance, while over 100,000 cycles indicates very high durability.

100% PES means that the material is made entirely of polyester. This fabric is durable, crease-resistant and dries quickly, although it may be less breathable and tend to build up static.

The weight of upholstery fabrics usually ranges from 200 to 500 g/m². Lighter materials are more flexible and sit more easily on the furniture, while heavier ones have a more compact, substantial structure. Such fabrics work well on sofas, armchairs and pouffes.

Rolf achieves at least 30,000 cycles in the abrasion test. This means the material is designed for regular use and copes well with the rubbing that occurs when using upholstered furniture.

Rolf scored 5 in the pilling test. This is a very good result, indicating a low tendency for bobbles and pilling to form on the surface.

Colour fastness to rubbing is 4-5 both dry and wet. In practice, this means the colour holds up well during typical use of upholstered furniture.

Light fastness was rated 7. This is a very high result, indicating highly durable colour. Even so, the Oliwkowa Zieleń shade itself is worth seeing on a sample, as how it looks may depend on the lighting conditions.

Rolf weighs 560 g/m² with a tolerance of ±5%, meaning one square metre of the material weighs about 560 grams. This is a high value, characteristic of fuller, more substantial upholstery fabrics. In Rolf it emphasises the material’s compact construction and complements the distinct bouclé texture.

Rolf is best cleaned gently, without hard scrubbing or soaking. For routine care, use a soft brush or a slightly damp cloth. Harsh detergents can damage the characteristic bouclé surface, so it is best to avoid them.
